Top Commentor is another great plugin – reward the person who comments the most with a dofollow link. Most of these links appear on the front page which is a big bonus.

I have the related posts plugin in my Most Useful Wordpress Plugins list.

Top Commentors is a good plugin but last I checked it wasn’t working with the latest WP version. I’ll have to see if they have an update available now.

The top commentator feature is a great tool to encourage discussion on your blog. The reader is rewarded with a valuable link from your home page for consistently contributing to your blog.

My favorite plugin from the list above is the top commenter plugin. It encourages visitors to keep coming back and contribute on a regular basis. Dofollowing the links also gives some incentive to contribute. Good list and overview on the plugins!

Another useful plugin that you might want to add is the "Broken Link Checker" for Wordpress. I have a huge site, and there is no way I can check the whole site for dead links manually. That is so true. I forget to go back to so many blogs even though I wanted to read up on the follow-up comments (especially if I asked a question of the post author). This plugin is great in bringing back repeat visitors

“Subscribe To Comments”… This is really useful. As if you are working on link building by commenting then you have to post on lot… Though as commentator you want to go back to the blog but you just loose the sight and can only remember the Email interface (gmail in my case) that will let me pop on to your site again.
