Hi. I’ve been having this problem since the 2.6 upgrade. My only workaround was FTPing the files into /images. Wow, this was so much easier. Thanks.

this did not help me. the image uploads but appears broken still. i did the absolute path. i even changed the storage directory. can someone help me?

Glad you have been able to fix it. This one freaked me out, too, when I first encountered it.
