The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer
A while back my cousin asked me to read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.
She asked me to make sure not to read any reviews nor see the trailer for the upcoming movie or it will just spoil the book for me. She had loved the book and was totally obsessed with it. Her words were: I am having a mid life crisis - being so obsessed with this book. I had no idea what she meant.
So I finally went ahead and read the book.
The beginning was alright and it got interesting by the second, third chapter. Halfway through the book, I thought it was good enuff to keep me engrossed and to keep reading but I still had no idea why my cousin was so crazy about it.
Then I went to have some dinner and couldn’t get it out of my mind. I just had to know what happened next. So I went back to the book and was up till 2 am finishing it.
And then I understood what she meant. I couldn’t get it out of my head. It was just one of those books that stay with you in a haunting sort of a way. I immediately went online and ordered the next two in the series.
And I understood what she had meant by a mid life crisis.
And of course I went and watched the trailer and read the reviews. They ranged from people raving about the book to calling it fickle
So What Is It About The Book?
It isn’t so much about the story, rather how this book makes you feel. And it makes you feel very deeply and very passionately. It gets inside your head and stays there. Personally I always jusge a good book or movie by how I feel once it is over and the impact it has had on me.
For surely any good movie or book will have an impact! And Twilight does not disappoint.
I just can’t wait for the rest of the books to arrive now.
This is a recommended girlie read. It is a love story guys so not too sure it’s your type.

I have read the first three of the Twighlight series. I am not sure I will read Break Dawn when it comes out because there were some parts in Eclipse I didn’t like. Not to mention it was way too much “high school drama.”
But I do think Stephenie Meyer is an excellent author because she takes some weird topic (vampires) and makes it seem totally normal to be reading a book about them.

Since I haven’t read parts two and three, I can’t say how I feel about them yet. I will most probably read part four just for the sake of finding out how it ends unless I absolutely hate ‘New Moon’ or ‘Eclipse’.
I definitely love her writing style. Not many people can write about vampires and do it well IMO.

My 13 year old daughter has been completely obsessed with the Twilight books for the past year. The week before the Breaking Dawn release party I read the first 3 books and became officially obsessed! My husband is so sick of hearing about Edward Cullen between the two of us. Looking forward to the Movie release.

I have to admit the books are addictive. My sister doesn’t even like ‘em and she is still reading them lol. I can’t wait for the movie either.

I think for using the town of Forks name and Logos. Stephanie Meyer should think about donating to the Forks community pool, which has been shut down due to lack of funds. A really rainy town, full of children wishing for a indoor pool to swim in.
