Having problems updating or downloading apps from the Android Market place?
Keep receiving the message ‘Download Unsuccessful’?
Here’s the simple solution to this very frustrating issue:
- Click the left menu button (bottom left of your phone) and click settings
- Click applications and then manage applications
- Press left menu button again and select filter
- Choose All from the pop-up
- Find the following applications and click on them one by one
- Checkin service – Clear Data
- Download Manager – Clear Data
- Google Apps – Clear Data
- Google Talk Service – Clear Data
- Market – Clear Data
Your application should download successfully at this point. You might have to repeat this process every now and then.

The other option I considered was HTC Desire. Read on to find why the Galaxy S won out over the HTC Desire.
The Screen
Galaxy S: 4″ Super AMOLED
HTC Desire: 3.7″ AMOLED/changed to S-LCD
IPHONE 4: 3.5″ Retina Display
The 4″ size alone beats the other two phones hands down. The Galaxy S screen is just fabulous! In fact it is the screen the blew me away when I first saw the phone.
